Come and visit one of England's finest country houses, home of the Spencer family
for over 500 years and ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales. The award winning
exhibition, "Diana a Celebration" is housed in the Stables located amongst over
500 acres of idyllic park, much of which has been unaltered in 500 years. The
Round Oval where Diana, Princess of Wales is laid to rest is set in the heart
of the park and visitors can lay tributes at the Temple. You can also view one
of the world's greatest collections of portraiture, including works by Reynolds,
Gainsborough, Rubens and Van Dyck. A short walk from the Round Oval is the oak
tree planted by Nelson Mandela during his visit in 2002. The Stable Block Cafe
and the Althorp Gift Shop sells a range of products exclusively designed for Althorp.
